Google Nexus 7 Review

Hey guys! I received the Google Nexus 7 yesterday and after playing around with it all day I am ready to give you all a review. So let's list some pros and cons.

Pros: The Google Nexus 7 has Android 4.1 which no other device currently has. Android 4.1 runs very smooth and everything flows very well. The sound quality from the speakers are really great. I have listened to music and movies on the tablet and the sound quality is very clear. While we are on movies the HD quality of the movie shows very well on this tablet. The battery life is great as well. After a full charge it lasted about 7hrs. The game quality is amazing. Games look absolutely amazing on this tablet. I tried out Dead Trigger, Shadow Gun, and Dark Meadow which all use Tegra and the graphics look great. The size is perfect. It is not to small not to big. It fits perfectly in my hand and I have small hands :). I am actually typing this review on the tablet now. Another great thing is that Google includes $25 credit to spend in the play store along with Transformers 3 the movie, magazines, and books. Overall there are a lot of great stuff about the tablet.

Cons: There are very few cons but there are some non the less. The home screen does not turn into landscape mode which is weird but not that big of a deal. There is not expandable memory which kinda sucks because I have the 8gb and I only have 2GB left with the preloaded apps, 5 downloaded apps, 2 movies, and a few books. They won't let you uninstall preloaded apps which sucks because a lot of the apps I won't ever use. While watching a movie it did skip 2 or 3 times but it was very minor and not a big deal. The last con is that there is no flash installed.

Overall, the pros outweigh the cons and I absolutely love my tablet. It is a great tablet for just $199. So, if you are thinking about getting this tablet this is a really great buy. I will post an unboxing video and hands on review on my YouTube channel later this week so stay tuned.
